BACKGROUND

These numismatic tokens and medals were minted by Gallery Mint from 1995 through 2006. Most pieces were struck on the "Mini-Mint", a five-station miniature minting factory that demonstrated the entire minting process right on the bourse floor. All dies were engraved by Ron Landis; coins were struck variously by Joe Rust, Timothy Grat, Mike Ellis and others. Mini- mint pieces were offered "Free for a donation" at the shows.

A complete, on-line catalog of these GMM show-pieces has been put together by Edwin Johnson. It can be viewed here: http://users.hal-pc.org/~edi/gmm/tokens.html Virtually every piece listed above is pictured and more fully described on Ed's site.

It is believed that this selection of show tokens is the largest selection of GMM "Mini-Mint" pieces ever offered. Many coin shows are represented by a single piece, so orders need to be verified. Every effort will be made to keep this listing up-to-date.

RARITY

Most show tokens were struck on demand at the specified coin convention and have the largest mintage numbers, possibly in the 2,000s for certain shows (Portland, 1998 i.e.). Tokens and medals struck to order for various coin clubs and organizations have a much lower mintage.
